March Madness is not the only thing going on!!

Not only is March Madness happening and Easter, there are several events happening this weekend and the next here on the Outer Banks. This weekend we have Blackbeard’s Revenge 100 going on. This is a 100 mile race that starts from Carova and ends at the tip of Hatteras Island. This race will test the limits of it’s runner’s. Rain or shine they will all still run from point to point. Each contestant has to face the unpredictable weather patterns of the Outer Banks. This is a fun race to watch because of the outfits that some of the contestant’s wear. It is fun to see. The run starts on March 23 and ends on March 24.

Next weekend we have several events through out the Outer Banks for Easter. There are plenty of egg hunts for all ages, festival’s, and much more.

Come join Hatteras Village Waterfowl Festival!!

We have 12 house’s in our program and we are located 7 to 10 minutes away from the Bonner Bridge (Oregon Inlet Bridge) that takes you onto Hatteras Island. Between the dates of February 23- February 24 they are having their annual festival. This is the 4th year of this festival and they would love it if you could join them. The festival will kick off Friday evening with the delicious Fin, Feather, and Bourbon event. Small plates featuring seafood and waterfowl will be accompanied by select bourbons, wines, and beer. This house does have a 4 night minimum. You no longer have to come on a busy Saturday or Sunday and have to deal with all that traffic and traffic delays. You can come on a Monday and check out Friday. The possibilities are endless with this cottage.

Last Minute Mother’s Day Special!!

We just received a last minute cancellation for Mother’s Day partial week. The now available dates are May 9- May 15. The house that these dates are available for is Sand Fiddler. This is one of our largest homes and is booked up from now until Mid- September. Sand Fiddler is 7 bedrooms, 7 baths, has 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, an elevator that goes from the bottom to the top floor, a saltwater pool, a new fenced in pet area, a game room with an Xbox One S, Foosball table, and a 55 inch smart tv. There is also a movie theater with theater seating and 55inch smart tv. In the upstairs living room there is nothing but brand new reclining, pure leather furniture. If your kids need to do school or you need to work no problem, there is now a desk in the middle floor king room with the bunk. There is so much space in this house that everyone can hide to do their work. Sand Fiddler sits across the street from the ocean but still has an awesome view. This neighbor is so quite that at night you can sit on the front decks (any of the 3) and just listen to the waves. In the morning you can go to the middle or bottom floor deck to see if you see any deer. We get them a lot. So come and enjoy Mother’s Day with us!!

This is our 6 bedroom, 3.5 bath, ocean front house. The sale price for this house is $100 a night, with a 3 night minimum, and a FREE amenities package. The aftermath of Hurricane Dorian

Hurricane Dorian as it pulverizes the Outer Banks

We have survived the deadly Hurricane Dorian. We were lucky in NOT receiving any damages done by Hurricane Dorian. The only thing that happened was a few shingles flew away but that is getting fixed. Unfortunately some of us here on the Outer Banks have lost everything. People here on the Outer Banks, Hatteras Island, Ocracoke Island, and the Bahamas lost everything from this storm. Please keep these people in your thoughts and in your hearts. There is a bunch of places to where you can donate money or your time to help these people out. Every little bit helps.

Re-entry for all visitors will be allowed today Sunday, September 8 at 4 pm. Please note that some streets and neighborhoods are marked for no entry. There are still places that have no power. Power poles and trees are still down in some areas. So please drive with caution if you are a visitor of the Outer Banks. Please be respectfully to the locals, we have been threw a lot and some of us have been without power since Thursday. We do welcome all visitors with open arms. The red flags are still flying due to high Rip currents. These red flags mean NO SWIMMING. The town will let us know when it is safe to enter the water.

We want to thank all the workers that have worked hard to get us back up and running again. Thank you to Dominion Power, Spectrum, FEMA, Dare County Emergency Team, all volunteer’s that came from all over, and to the first responders team, and the many other’s we have helped us threw this devastating event.

To get to the beach there is a boardwalk that will take you from the back porch to the sand. There are no dunes to climb over.

Sea Gull is ocean front, has a saltwater pool, Foosball table, screened in porch facing ocean, wifi, cable, fenced pet area, charcoal grill, boardwalk that goes from the back of the house to the beach. So this way there are no dunes but there is stairs for this house on the boardwalk. Sea Gull will sleep up to 20 people and this house has the biggest area for parking. There are 6 bedrooms and 3 full baths.

Pepper’s Cottage is one of our most beloved cottages out of them all. This cottage is made for couples that need to just relax, unwind, and to have fun. Pepper’s is unique in every way. When it was first built it was rented by a Catholic Cardinal and before he left he blessed it! This cute little cottage offers one big open floor plan with a queen bed, leather sofa and chair, shower, outside shower that has hot and cold water, picnic area, charcoal grill, wifi, cable, and a large porch for you and your fur babies to enjoy!
