My partner and I knew we were looking for a bit of a unicorn in the outer banks: a cottage that’s close to the beach (no highway crossing required), with our own outdoor space and grill, full kitchen, dog friendly, and a small enough place that we weren’t paying for rooms we weren’t using (hard in an area with so many 10+ bedroom houses!). This place fit the bill perfectly, just a short walk to the beach, clean, and with a great little deck where we grilled every evening. It also has a surprisingly comfy couch for evening lounging! M We loved our stay there. The only thing I’d mention is a lot of the communication goes through the rental company and not VRBO (they ask you to sign a short-term lease), and the early check-out at 10 am, but otherwise perfect! -5 Stars
