This beach cottage worked out for our group and our trip. We were grandparents running off with our two teenage grandchildren. The kids (boy 15 and girl 16) commandeered the two lower level bedrooms as their own. The lower level bathroom worked great for them. The upper level, with its' on suite bathroom, worked out perfect for we old folks... allowed us to avoid the stairs, but for venturing out to explore OBX. As the weather was a bit cool (early March), especially with the usual breeze, we did not need to be right on the beach. A short walk past three neighboring cottages got us there quickly to scope it out. If weather would permit it, getting on and off the beach would be a "breeze" :-).
